toxic friends

Affirmation for Dealing with Toxic Friends

We all come upon toxic friends.  It’s hard to admit that a friendship is no longer serving you, especially when the bond once felt deep. But toxic friendships drain your energy, leaving you questioning your worth or doubting your decisions. Spirit wants you to know that you don’t owe anyone your peace. Letting go doesn’t mean you didn’t care; it means you are choosing to care for yourself more.

This week’s affirmation is a call to release what harms you, and reclaim the space for healthy, balanced relationships.

About Weekly Affirmations:

I offer these affirmations every Thursday, and I invite you to sit with them over the weekend. Journaling can help process what surfaces when you consider walking away from someone you thought would be in your life forever. Remember—this is a journey to create space for what nourishes you.

Use this affirmation as a reminder that you are worthy of peace and respect.

What Are Affirmations?

Affirmations are tools to help shift the way we think and feel. They are small, intentional statements that slowly reshape how we show up in the world. Repetition is key—each time you say these words, you are reinforcing your power.

This Week’s Affirmation:

“I release toxic relationships with love, making space for those who honor and respect me.”

Your peace is your responsibility.

Journaling Prompts for Reflection:

  • How do I feel when I’m around this person? What does my body say?
  • What boundaries do I need to set to protect myself from negativity?
  • How can I honor the memories without allowing the toxicity to continue?
